Re-imagining Merrill Lynch's Business

FOCUS

My team and I reimagined the brand experience for a large financial instituation’s Global Wealth and Investing Management Sector. The heart of this business is acquiring and managing relationships with high net-worth individuals. Under this group's (ML) new life priorities investing approach, my team collaborated with our clients to create a 3-5 year northstar vision for their digital product, affecting the softwares used by their financial advisors, clients and Institutional Retirement (IR) plan sponsors. I personally wireframed portions of these solutions, helped establish the guiding UI pattern and shot in-situation photography for the project.

CHALLENGE

Unify the fragmented digital experience for ML across all lanes of business to simplify services and processes for on-boarding prospective financial clients.

AQUIRING & ON-BOARDING NEW CLIENTS

Most if not all new clients come through referrals and social events.  We sought to provide advisors with a powerful tool to send relevant content to prospective clients after initial contact, creating the basis for a clients’ digital footprint.

CUSTOMIZED WEBSITE

With the initial touchpoint, ML would deliver a customized gateway with the curated content to the prospective clients that is responsive and adaptable to their environment.

PRE-MEETING SETUP

ML would then allow prospective clients to prepare remotely for their first official meeting with an advisor. An investment personality assessment, goal setting exercise and online profile creation could be done at the convenience of the client.

INTERACTIVE OFFICE CONVERSATION

ML advisors would have in-office tools that are intiutive and engaging. Advisors can sessions by projecting pre-screening assessment results, and easily record details of the session. This new enhanced environments enables greater data driven solutions, transparency and real-time projections. At the end of a session, client should be able to set high-level goals will better inform investment proposals.

REVIEW & eSIGN

ML advisors could share a full investment proposal via the ML app and allow clients to sign with fingerprint ID at their convenience.

ENHANCED CLIENT EXPERIENCE

Once a new client is acquired, ML would provide a smarter, multi-platform, fully integrate system that makes viewing account info, tracking goals and managing investor relationships easy and intuitive.

ALERT & ACTION

ML would arm clients with the ability to make financial decisions on-the-go, alerting them of potential gains & giving them more control than ever.

SMART ENGAGEMENT

With shared accounts for families, reporting insights and revelant content, ML could provide dynamic digital communication with their clients for life long engagement.
