LOVE & CAPITOL
EYE ON HIS PRIZE
I had the pleasure of curating and shooting engagement photos for my dear friend and fellow MIT brother, Etienne Toussaint, and his lovely wife Ebony. It was an honor to help create lasting memories of their special moment. I got to experience their initimate world translate the story of their special union.
With less than two weeks of planning, we started our journey together at 5am on a crisp October Saturday morning. The air was slightly chilled, the streets were calm, the Capitol was lustruous, and the light was glorious.
ACT I: SUNRISE HILL
“Interestingly, I wasn't even looking for her, so maybe she was the one who found me. The better answer is that we both found us, or rather a glimpse of who we could become together in the eyes of a person simply seeking a friend in a new place.”
“He then got down on his knees and proposed that I be his girlfriend and that we both renew our commitment to God and do things the right (God) way. He said he had heard God saying that if he wanted me, this is what he needed to do in order to have me.”
ACT II: PARKS & RECS
“It was my first time meeting [Ebony] at the shoot, and I must say, she is one of a kind. She not only complements Etienne's charistimatic, reserved demeanor—she adds a touch of optimism and playfulness to what will make a powerful union. You can really feel that she honors the man he is evolving into. ”
